La Nouvelle & You: Julie, Chloé and Justine

Meet Julie and her daughters La Nouvelle & You: Julie, Chloé and Justine

Julie, 44 years old, and her daughters Chloé and Justine, 19 years old, tell us about their La Nouvelle experience.

Co-Founder of communications agency Les Toquées de la Com and spokesperson for the Talents de la Méditerranée, Julie wanted to share this experience with her 19-year-old twin daughters, who are both students. So different and yet so similar, these 3 women are a close-knit trio!

How did you hear about La Nouvelle?

Julie: I heard about it very early on. I immediately liked the lurex detail, you can make it visible if you want to. And when I started buying lingerie for my daughters, I chose La Nouvelle because I wanted it to be simple, without underwiring, and elegant.

Justine: Through Mum. She often gives it to us as a gift on our birthdays.

Why did you agree to do this shoot?

Justine: It’s kind of symbolic! I thought it would be a beautiful thing to do this shoot together, the 3 of us.

Chloé: Also to do a shoot for a beautiful brand that we love.

Julie: To show my daughters that we can feel comfortable in lingerie in photos.

What best defines your trio?

Justine: Positivity! We’re always in a good mood in our house. We like a good laugh, all three of us.

Julie: Yes. We try to do things with joy and love. Optimism is the overriding state of mind with us!

Which pieces are you wearing for the shoot?

Julie: The Georgia body, because I have a big bust and I find that’s what suits me best. That’s all I wear!

Chloé: I chose the Angèle comfort bra, with a shorty that covers up your tummy a little.

Justine: I chose a shorty that accentuates the hips and is flattering on your bum.

Do you remember your first bra?

Julie: At the time, I loved the Wonderbra. I wanted volume! But little by little, I went back to a more natural look. I realised that femininity was not about artifice, but rather an attitude, a smile, a look…

Justine and Chloé: We have never worn bras with underwiring or padding. We’re looking for more of a second skin kind of style.

What advice did your Mum give you when you started to discover women’s lingerie?

Chloé: She taught us about the idea of enjoying wearing beautiful things and feeling good in them.

Julie: It’s true. I wanted to convey to them the idea of feeling comfortable, of feeling good. I also taught them that there are many different kinds of femininity, depending on age and personality.

What are you looking for when it comes to lingerie? Comfort, support or sexiness?

Julie: The most important aspect right now is comfort, as well as a pretty detail that you can see. When it comes to more of a sexy look, you can experiment with colours, materials, or a pretty strap that peeks through as part of your outfit.

Chloé: The comfort and beauty of the garment must go hand-in-hand.

What does femininity mean to you?

Chloé: It’s feeling good in what you’re wearing. It’s also a state of mind.

Justine: It’s loving yourself just as you are, and knowing how to accentuate your body in the way that you want.

The materials we use to make our bras are sourced with great care, as part of our eco-friendly approach. Is that important to you?

Justine: Yes, it’s very important. There is an urgent need for change. Change has to become the norm.

Chloé: We are very mindful of it. This is something that can make us choose one brand over another.

Julie: My daughters don’t like overconsumption. They want to have a minimalist wardrobe made up of high-quality items.
